MORGAN REILLY
TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS - NHL
I worked with Casey Bartzen extensively from the age of 15 through junior and into the NHL. His intensity and athleticism was inspirational. His training methods were extremely difficult. As my skills coach he focused on increasing my athleticism, lateral movement and positive body angles. He helped me learn how to use my body to deceive my opponents and his out-of-the-box thinking continues to influence my game today.

VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS - NHL
The last 3 years I have worked exclusively with "the bullet" (Casey Bartzen) to bring my game to the next level. His attention to detail and dedication to perfect movement has allowed me to become a better player in the NHL. After my work with Casey I feel more balanced on the ice, I am able to change direction quicker and find lanes to escape from traffic and make stronger plays all over the ice.

WASHINGTON CAPITALS - NHL
I have been working exclusively with Casey Bartzen since 2012, and his on-ice attention to detail is unbelievable. He can tell me exactly what is happening when I am failing to complete a movement perfectly. He has a gift for being able to relate to his athletes and what they are feeling on the ice. His knowledge of biomechanics and his approach to skill development has allowed me to manipulate the defender, conceal my intentions and change my mind part way through any movement. I can honestly say without his help I would not of made the jump to the NHL this season

CALGARY FLAMES - NHL
Casey Bartzen was my skills coach for 5 years in Vancouver and our time together was invaluable. His ability to make his athletes move better and create time and space is second to none. From 2007 to 2012 Casey was a major contributor in preparing me for some of my most successful seasons in the NHL. He helped me improve my explosiveness skating mechanics and lateral movement. Casey cares about his players and is dedicated to find ways of improving upon specific strengths and eliminate weaknesses.

ST LOUIS BLUES - NHL
When I first started working with Casey Bartzen in 2012 I didn't know what to expect. The skill sessions were unorthodox and demanding. I was initially not sure how the drills would translate to my on-ice performance, but after working with Casey I feel more balanced and connected on the ice. His philosophy on puck protection is something I continue to work on as it allows me to create more room between me and my opponents in traffic areas and has given me more ways to beat players 1 on 1. Every off-season that I work with "the bullet" he finds new ways to challenge me and get my body ready for the upcoming season.

I first started with working with Casey Bartzen at age 12 in Vancouver. He had the reputation of being an intense and explosive athlete with extremely good hands. As a smaller player he was the perfect fit for my game. I continued to work with Casey throughout junior and pro. Casey continued to find ways to push my limits and improve my speed, and he presented me with new concepts every year to add to my game and make me a better player at the NHL level. "The bullet" is an invaluable resource for smaller players trying to make their way to the NHL.

Casey Bartzen is, in my opinion, one of the country's best skating and skills coaches. As a top draft pick I didn't think anyone out there could really teach me much about skills, but Casey showed my new ways to use my edges and how to move my body cleaner and control the puck with less risk. He also improved my shot and brought my scoring touch to the next level. His techniques allow players to make the puck disappear on their opponents and the concepts he passed on to me have allowed me to use my natural abilities more effectively and become a more dangerous player at the professional level.

VANCOUVER CANUCKS- NHL
Casey Bartzen is an extremely knowledgable and dedicated skills coach. He never just tells you to go do something, he makes you find a way to do it perfect. His passion and dedication to his players is inspiring. He has great drills and his concepts are new to even veteran NHLers. But more than anything, what makes "the bullet" the best is that he actually cares about his players.
TY RONNING
NEW YORK RANGERS - NHL
Casey Bartzen was introduced to me by my dad, CLiff Ronning, in 2008. As a smaller player my dad understood the importance of being a great mover and in excellent physical condition. Casey has a reputation of both. After one session on ice with Casey I knew his approach to skills development would fit my game perfectly. I learned a lot from Casey on the ice and in the gym and worked with him for several years before he returned home to Saskatoon.
