ABOUT
CounterMove is a new paradigm in movement training.
Our BaseOne gravity-based system sets us apart!
CounterMove Hockey is an on-ice skill and skating system that has a proven track record boasting over 50 NHL athletes trained over the last decade. Check out the testimonials here. Our newly released BaseOne skating system, now available online along with our CounterMove skill development methods combine playing experience and the latest research in biomechanics and analytics to customize each athlete’s development process.
CounterMove skill and BaseOne skating system represent a new direction and methodology in skill development training. Through this system, the athlete is pushed beyond the demands of the sport, making the sport itself a regressive athletic experience. CounterMove focuses on posture, dynamic movement, extreme edging, advanced puck skills and deceptive release shooting as well as integrated game transfer and hockey IQ modules. We have further broadened the scope of our development capacity with our dedicated dry-land movement centre. Designed to expedite the process of athletic development, a one of a kind sport specific link system, strength and movement based training paradigm rebuilds our athletes from the ground up. We are able to bridge the the skill and movement gap in our athletes with optimal efficiency through mobility and postural restoration, motor programming, sport specific strength and overspeed and resistance movement training. It is our belief that in order to advance the human machine we must first undo the damage caused by repetitive unbalanced movements.
